NASCAR is in the Music City this weekend for races for all 3 series. The Truck Series kicks off the weekend for racing on Friday night under the lights on the 1.33 mile oval. Corey Heim is dominating the season and as a result Draftkings keeps upping his salary. He is getting to a point where he must dominate to hit the value needed at his salary. Once again, Kyle Busch is in the field this week as the second highest salaried driver on the slate.
Potential Dominators
Corey Heim
Layne Riggs
Heim is the top option every week and I don't expect anything to change soon. He was one of the fastest in practice and wasn't even the happiest with his truck. He could dominate all the laps tonight so he is a great option for DFS as always. Riggs is one of the few drivers that has been able to contend with Heim this season. He was solid in practice and should be a contenders throughout the race at Nashville.
Place Differential Plays
Ty Majeski
Chandler Smith
Gio Ruggiero
Tanner Gray
With qualifying rained out, Ty Majeski and Chandler Smith start towards the back due to their issues in the last race. They have a lot of place differential potential starting in the mid 20s. Smith especially was one of the best trucks in practice and Majeski wasn't too far behind him. They both should have top 5 potential and will be solid place differential options in the race. Ruggiero has had a lot of speed recently and starts in 17th tonight. He should be able to move forward and have top 10 potential with upside for more. Gray is another option starting in the low 20s that has some runs in the top 10 this season and would be a solid place differential option tonight.
Cheap Options
Matt Crafton
Connor Mosack
Andres Perez De Lara
Dawson Sutton
Another week that Crafton is a cheap place differential option with his starting spot. He starts a little closer to the front in 18th this week, but there are only 32 trucks in the race tonight. He will be a usable option if he can stay out of trouble finally this season. Mosack starts 20th but is on the team that dominated this race last season with Christian Eckes. I think he should be able to move forward and run in the top 15 in the race. Perez should be a lower owned option for this race starting in 16th but I think he will be a good value play as he has showed speed this season. He had solid speed in practice and should run in the top 15. Sutton is a great play tonight as he starts way in the back in 29th and is one of the better cheap options under 6k salary. You will likely need the flexibility of his low salary to fit other top drivers and he should have top 20 potential.
