The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Phoenix Raceway for the final race of the 2025 season with the Championship 4 set and everything on the line. This flat one-mile track puts a premium on restarts, tire management, and speed throughout a run — all of which are critical in a 200-lap race with plenty of dominator points available. Historically, the Championship 4 drivers have dominated this event, so building around them in DFS is a smart starting point. However, there’s still value in mid-pack drivers with good short-track history or place differential potential. Expect aggressive driving, high intensity, and late-race chaos as the Xfinity Series crown gets decided.
Potential Dominators
Connor Zilisch
Jesse Love
Justin Allgaier
Brandon Jones
Zilisch has been the dominate driver in the Xfinity Series and is the rightful favorite for the championship this weekend. He should be fast in the race as he was a top car in practice and will be a main threat to lead laps and contend for the win throughout the race. Love was the best car in lap averages in practice and I would expect that to translate to the race. He should be a top contender this weekend even though I think Zilisch and Allgaier will have the better chance at the championship. Allgaier has been one of the best drivers all season long just behind Zilisch and he is really good here at Phoenix. I would expect him to be the main threat for the championship against Zilisch and should be a good option for DFS. Brandon Jones is the one non championship driver that I think can lead a lot of laps as he starts on the pole. He runs well at Phoenix and should be out front early for a little while and could end up in the optimal lineup if he gets a good finish.
Place Differential Plays
Austin Hill
Sammy Smith
Corey Day
Brenden Queen
Hill had top 5 speed for lap averages in practice yesterday and he is still going for the owners championship this weekend. He starts in 16th so he should move forward and be a great option for DFS as he will likely run in the top 10 and have upside. Smith had solid speed in practice but didn't get the best qualifying lap so he starts in 18th. I expect him to run in the top 10 making him a decent option. Day had one of the best cars in practice as he was top 3 in lap average throughout the session. He starts in 15th and I would not be surprised for him to get towards the front a battle for a top 5 by the end of the day. Queen starts in 20th and has had some good runs this season and I wouldn't be surprised to see him battle for a top 10 finish today.
Cheap Options
Daniel Dye
Brennan Poole
Jeremy Clements
Josh Williams
Dye wrecked in practice and had to go to a backup car so his first laps in this car was his qualifying laps. I expect him to move forward from his 33rd starting spot and should be a solid option for the race. Poole ran top 20 here in the spring and has had some great runs of flat tracks recently. He should be a good option to move forward a few spots from his 24th starting position with upside for more. Clements also ran well here in the spring and starts back in 29th. I think he should move forward and will be another to battle for a top 20 finish. Williams starts way in the back but is in decent equipment and was close to the top 25 in lap averages in practice. He should be able to move forward and is a solid flier play this weekend.
