The NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers will be tested this Saturday at the Charlotte Roval — a hybrid road course that always brings chaos, strategy, and surprise finishes. This is a cutoff race in the Xfinity playoffs, so drivers below the cut line will be pushing hard to stay alive in the championship hunt. There are only 67 laps in this race, so dominator points will be limited. That makes place differential and finishing position even more important than usual in DFS. We’ve seen strong performances this year on other road courses like COTA, and Watkins Glen, and those results should be helpful indicators heading into this weekend.
Potential Dominators
Connor Zilisch
Jesse Love
The final road course of the season and we will see if anyone can knock off the dominant driver this season of Zilisch. But for DFS purposes he may be a difficult play depending on some of the other top drivers as he is priced at the highest of anyone all season at $16,000 on Draftkings. He is likely to lead the most laps but there are only 67 laps of dominator points to get so if some of the other top drivers gain a few place differential spots and finish top 5, you can build a more balanced lineup and get a higher point total than using Zilisch.
Place Differential Plays
Austin Hill
Sheldon Creed
Taylor Gray
Kaz Grala
Austin Green
If you decide to fade Zilisch and go more balanced I think using some of Hill, Creed, and Gray is a good option. They all start up outside the top 10 and should have top five potential in the race. Grala is a good road racer and is in solid equipment this weekend driving for Sam Hunt racing. He starts in 9th but I think he could run in the top 10 and be a good play this week.
Cheap Options
Jeb Burton
Daniel Dye
Jeremy Clements
Dean Thompson
Blaine Perkins
Sage Karam
Burton, Dye, Thompson all start in the back and have big potential to move forward and are great options this week. Clements had a broken axle in practice so he did not get to qualify and starts in the back. He has a ton of place differential potential and is a solid road racer so he should be a top cheap option this week. Perkins has somehow become a good road racer with some good finishes at recent road races this season. He starts in 25th so I think he has some spots to gain and should have top 20 potential.
