The NASCAR Truck Series is in the northeast this weekend as the Trucks are racing at New Hampshire for the last race of the first round of their playoffs. Drivers will have 175 laps around the mile flat oval and we are likely to see drivers do well that have been fast on the flat tracks and road courses to an extent this year. I would expect there to be one to two main dominators this week and track position is going to be important as New Hampshire is not the easiest track to pass at.
Potential Dominators
Corey Heim
Chandler Smith
Ty Majeski
I don't think anything is going to stop Corey Heim this season and he was once again the fastest car in practice and is on pole this week. He should lead from the start and be hard to beat this week even with him already locked into the next round. Chandler Smith has had issues in this round of the playoffs so he is below the cutline and needs a good run if not a win this week. He was good in practice and felt his truck was close in practice. He should be a top threat for the win this week. Majeski is great on the flat track and should be good again this week. He didn't stand out in practice but he seemed happy with his truck and should be a contender this weekend.
Place Differential Plays
Christian Eckes
Kaden Honeycutt
Gio Ruggiero
Eckes comes back to the truck series this week and he almost spun in qualifying so he starts way back in 28th giving him huge place differential upside. He is going to be a very popular pick to pair with one of the lap leaders this week. Honeycutt looked really good in practice with top 5 speed and he starts back in 15th. He should be able to move forward and is a great option for DFS this week. Another driver that was solid in practice was Ruggiero and he has been fast a lot this season. He is at a good value salary wise and should be a good play this week to run in the top 10.
Cheap Options
Bayley Currey
Andres Perez
Michael Christopher Jr
Mason Massey
Tyler Tomassi
With there being a lot of high priced drivers that you will want to use this week you are going to have to use some of the cheap guys. Currey looked really good in practice and starts back in 23rd which gives him a lot of place differential potential. Perez was solid in practice as well and is on the same team as Currey so I would expect him to be able to move forward a little and have top 15 upside in the race. Michael Christopher is making his first career start this week so he is not a guarantee by any means, but he is in a good truck and starts 29th so if he can stay out of trouble he can be a good flier play. Other cheap flier plays if you need to open up salary are Massey and Tomassi as they are in the better trucks of the slower teams and should stay ahead of the back marker trucks.
